Romia Kahlon

Senior Neurophysiology Technologist

Romia graduated from the Electroneurophysiology Program at BCIT where she trained in both pediatric and adult neurophysiology, primarily at Alberta Children’s Hospital and the Abbotsford Regional Hospital.

She is a certified member of the Canadian Association of Electroneurophysiology Technologists (CAET) and the Association of Electromyography Technologists of Canada (AETC). She has more than 15 years’ of clinical experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

She is a Clinical Instructor of the Electroneurophysiology program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) and is actively involved in research, with current interest in the use of ultrasound in diagnosing common peripheral neuropathies.

Romia is currently one of the accreditation assessors with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC and assists in maintaining quality, competence and safety through conformance to an acknowledged standard in neurodiagnostic clinics across the province. 

She has served as Vice President of the British Columbia Society of Electroneurophysiology Technologists (BCSET) and has a vested interest in optimizing the skills of future technologists.

When away from work, Romia enjoys hiking and traveling.
